LEKTOR's value will depend considerably on effective and efficient collaboration with all players in the e-business sector and the legal community. The links below are checked for added value for whoever is interested in the subject. If you want to contribute to this page, please contact us.

You might want to add useful links directly to the LEXELERATOR platform: Have a look at the links there!

The website of the European Commission, DG Information Society, that gives and overview on their activities.

CORDIS website with information of funding programmes, projects, open calls etc.
IPR Helpdesk: To give you first hand information on IPR issues such as copyright. You can subscribe to their NEWS that are relevant to e-business, such as the recent Survey related to the value of IP for businesses. To quote from it: "EU firms believe that, in order to maximise the value of their IPR, it is important to share it with other organisations that can help improve its potential. rather than securing it and keeping it secret. It is therefore important to 'strike the right balance between protecting and sharing ideas'." [emphasis added]. As such, it directly supports the LEKTOR vision.

The EU's legal framework for e-business and innovation
: The proceedings of the conference organised by DG Enterprise on 27/28 November 2006 give a good insight into the - sometimes widely diverging - opinions of all players in e-business.

Legal barriers to e-business
: Although stemming already from 2004, the survey is a good indicator on the basic barriers encountered by European companies.

Legal-IST project
: This project investigated specific legal issues that might affect e-business, amongst them OSS licences, liability of Internet Service Providers and legal issues for SME clusters. Summaries of the reports give a good overview, the reports themselves are in-depth research documents, albeit rather in "lawyer jargon".
